The project overall objective is to design an Attendance Management System(AMS) based on face recognition working with Deep Learning techniques which will offer a cost-effective and reliable solution to automate attendance recording. Traditional methods of attendance keeping for example, taking rollcalls are usually time-consuming, prone to errors and difficult to handle. It is also essential in the modern educational institution to ensure that a better system of student attendance tracking. This project aims to solve these problems by incorporating combination of emerging face recognition technologies. This is a system comprising of different hardware components like the ESP32-S Al Thinker CAM, Arduino Nano, TTL FTDI,0.96-inch OLED screen, button speaker, breadboard and JQ6500 that makes interaction between hardware and the software seamless. The software environment is Arduino IDE, Microsoft Visual Studio, and PyCharm Community Edition using C++ and Python languages.
