A GPS device is a well-known device used almost everywhere in the world to help and solve the problems regarding finding a specific place and locations and many other functionalities based on the field it is used in. But attaining a GPS device that is both functional and affordable may be difficult as most of the advanced and high-quality devices are undoubtably priey. This project addresses and works on the problem of the cost of GPS devices, in this project we aim to build a GPS device with basic functionalities which is affordable for various groups of users and functions well and effectively. The method of solution involves building a GPS device using affordable components with basic steps. Functionalities and specifications of each component are mentioned. However, inconsistencies, problems, and delay arise during the working of the GPS device caused by the incapabilities of the components, in other words there is a trade off between affordability and capability in our device. Acknowledging these limitations and problems future recommendations are introduced in the last chapter.
