
First Math Competition
On April 22, 2025, the university hosted a successful First Math Competition in the D – Conference Hall, with 28 students participating in teams of three.
14 students represented Engineering departments (Computer, Petroleum, Civil) as 6 groups, with 5 students nominated for the final round shaped in 2 groups.
The remaining 14 participants came from departments such as MLS, Dentistry, and Biomedical Science as 6 groups, with 6 students nominated shaped in 2 groups.
The competition was held in two stages: a written test on April 15, followed by a live on-stage round on April 22 for the top teams.
Students tackled problems in Calculus or Algebra, depending on their department. From the Engineering department, two groups went on stage: one secured first place, and the other took second. A similar outcome occurred with the other teams
The event highlighted strong mathematical skills, teamwork, and friendly competition across disciplines.
This event was proudly sponsored by the Chairperson of the CPE Department and the Student Council, with the support of 10 dedicated volunteers who helped bring it to life.
