A Workshop on Database and its Management by Computer Engineering Department

On Monday, May 29th, 2017, Department of Computer Engineering with the collaboration of Komar Research Center at Komar University of Science and Technology has hosted a workshop on “Databases Design and Basics” with Mr. Hemin Ibrahim as the workshop instructor.
He is an acting chairman of Computer Engineering at Komar University of Science and Technology.
The workshop instructor presented a short introduction to database and how it will help any organization to improve their works. He later within 3 hours workshop discussed steps to design any database and practically the attendants designed a simple database for library and hospital.
Department of Computer Engineering, College of Engineering at Komar University of Science and Technology will host a workshop on “Databases Design and Basics”, Mr. Hemin Ibrahim, chairman of the department will run the training workshop on Monday, May 29th, 2017 in Auditorium Hall, E Building.
Short Bio of the speaker:
Hemin Ibrahim is a faculty member and acting chairperson in computer engineering department at Komar University of Science and Technology where he has been a faculty member since 2014. He was a director of Information Technology office for two years.
Hemin Ibrahim received his first BSc in Mathematics from Salahadding University – Hawler and second BSc in Information Technology at University of Kurdistan – Hawler and his Master degree in Advanced Software Engineering from the University of Sheffield – UK.
Hemin’s teaching interests include programming languages, database, and web technology. His research interests are in the area of programming languages, ranging from theory to design to implementation and learning the machine.
In the last 3 years teaching at Komar University, he gave over 11 different courses in Engineering and Business colleges. In addition, his professional experience and focus has been in three areas, first, teaching and working at the university as an academic area, second, his personal and professional life has been the promotion of and advocacy for computer literacy and Internet connectivity in the public such as e-government. The last area is working as a programmer, devoted to research and practice and putting to use his academic and professional training.
A short abstract of your workshop:
The databases design and basics workshop outline the basic information and principles of designing and understanding the database. It was more about the basics to start working to design basic databases and understand the relationships between the real life requirements and designing the entities.
